The fight scene in the desert between Saint of Killers and the entire army is a classic. Herr Starr had no idea what he was getting in to. We are not sure if this particular scene will be in the TV show but if it is it will change television history. We are still waiting to see who is going to play Saint of Killers but it had better be a badass as you can see from this picture:
Then there is the best line of the entire first 37 issues:
Well, this pretty much sums it up from Preacher #31. That particular comic book has some crazy dialogue!
We meet Amy in Preacher #27 and she is quite the looker. This could be a great part for the AMC TV show:
We have no idea who would be cast as Amy but there are plenty of attractive actresses out there that would die for the part if the Preacher TV show gets popular. We have already heard that Ruth Negga absolutely kills it as Tulip so to work beside her for a handful of episode could launch someone’s career.
We also learn that Amy and Jesse have very good chemistry together which would be a great subplot for the show. If this character is cast as a very attractive actress it could end up causing problems with Jesse and Tulip. There are a number of different angles the TV show could go with this storyline.
Who do you think should play Amy? Do you want this character from the Preacher comic books in the TV show?
There is a good chance we will learn Cassidy’s first name in the final episode of season 1 of Preacher as per IMDB:
Most diehard Preacher fans are fully aware of Cassidy’s tendencies. He is bordering on being an alcohol and seems to be hated by many people in different towns throughout the United States and world. It wouldn’t be shocking if Cassidy had his own personal injury attorney on call at all times. With the amount of trouble he gets into, he will need all the legal help he can get.
As the TV show progress, it will likely be the case that fans have a love-hate relationship with Cassidy. After the pilot most fans voted that Cassidy stole the show. It will be interesting to see how they react when they find out that Cassidy goes behind Jesse’s back to try to hook up with Tulip. Let’s just hope we get this far in the TV series.
In issue #21 we meet Allfather D’Aronique. As with almost all villains in Preacher this character is, well, quite the character. He is so big his plane crashes as it lands. He also eats 24/7 but pukes it up because he is bulimic. What more can you ask for in a leader?
In his story arc he is overseeing Herr Starr and the Grail. We also learn that Jesse’s grandmother, Marie, is Allfather D’Aronique’s aunt.
Allfather D’Aronique dies after Herr Starr pushes him out of a helicopter as they escape the scene in which God comes after one of the angels. It is one of the few scenes in which Jesse, Cassidy, Saint of Killers, Herr Starr and God are in the same place.
Is there any possible way they can incorporate this into the TV show? There is no way, right? Some of the shit that happened during that sex party was just plain ridiculous. Unless AMC is very open to the biggest debacle there is just now way they can do this. Well, who knows.
If you have any interest at all in laughing your ass off at a comic book, go read Preacher #15 right now. It has to be one of the best comic books that has ever been written. Remember, this is not for the faint of heart nor those that do not enjoy complete debauchery. If you do enjoy that type of dirty, disgusting humor you are going to absolutely love the Jesus DeSade sex party scene.
Wow, this Jesus DeSade is one messed up character. He loves herion, booze and sex. While that might be fine, he is also into sexually abusing animals and other crazy shit. I don’t think there is any way AMC can put this type of character in the show, but who knows. If they can somehow pull it off, this will be one of the most popular characters of the entire series.
If you are looking to read up on Jesus DeSade and get an understanding of how messed up he is check out the comic books 13, 14, 15 and 16. His first appearance is in comic book #13 which is also the first appearance of Herr Starr making it a very good speculative play. One would imagine Herr Starr will definitely be in the TV show at one point or another.
As soon as we find out if anyone is cast for either of these characters we will update this website. Do you want to see Jesus DeSade and/or Herr Starr on the TV show? Which character would you prefer to see on TV?
