Week of premiere:

  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 – $715 – 446 on CGC census
  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 – $1125 – 439 on CGC census

Here we go. The prices are going through the roof. We may see 9.8 issues getting close to $1500 sometime in the very near future. Look for $750 for the CGC 9.6 issues. As predicted, this one is going to go crazy.

May 2016

  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 – $575 – 446 on CGC census
  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 – $1125 – 439 on CGC census

It looks as if there are not many Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 or 9.8 copies out there. Even after all the hype of the show, only six more 9.6 graded have been added to the census. There have been 13 more 9.8’s added but this is still a small number when considering the show has received so much publicity. Are we seeing the peak price before the TV show premiers on May 22nd, 2016?

April 2016

  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 – $950 – 426 on CGC census

As predicted, prices have skyrocketed over the last few weeks. We will see $750 for Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 by the time the show premieres on May 22nd, 2016. Hopefully you are buying your copies now so you can sell them for double the price in less than a year.

March 2016

After SXSW Pilot Launch

The reviews are in and fan absolutely loved the pilot. Every single review was positive and some have already dubbed Preacher the next great show on AMC. Because of this, the prices of Preacher #1 went up quite a bit. It is impossible to find a 9.6 for under $450 and a 9.8 for under $850. We hope you stocked up!

Early March

  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 – $435 – 415 on CGC census
  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 – $750 – 411 on CGC census

Interestingly, the price of 9.6 copies has gone up while the 9.8 copies have gone down. There has been quite a bit of buzz about the pilot being released at SXSW which has caused many to put their lower grade quality copies on eBay. Lots of 9.4, 9.2 and lower grades showing up lately.

February 2016

  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.6 – $400 – 409 on CGC census
  • Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 – $800 – 405 on CGC census

In February, the price of a CGC 9.6 copy has increased from around $360 to $400. As the pilot nears speculators are pushing the price up. Very few copies of CGC 9.8 have sold in the last few weeks. It is holding steady around $800. The final census in February 2016 is 1442 CGC graded copies.
