One of the largest, and most publicized, comic book shops on the Internet is MyComicShop.com. If you have searched for anything comic book related you have likely seen their ads everywhere. They have definitely grown in size with almost one million monthly visitors to the website. Early last week I was looking at the price for Preacher #1 CGC 9.8. There were a few copies for $900 to $975 dollars. There were also two copies at $1250. A total of six copies were available. Today, there are zero.

Prior to the pilot episode, the copies under $1000 were purchased. There are a few 9.8 copies that sold for around $1000 on eBay as well. If you are looking for a Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 today you will not find it under $1000. This is something we predicted prior to the premiere.

There will likely be a sideways movement in the prices of Preacher #1 over the next week as episode 2 does not come out until June 5th. That said, if the pilot has the largest premiere viewership ever the prices may pop again.

If you are looking to get a Preacher #1 CGC 9.8 you are going to have to pay a premium due to the success of the show. It will likely only get more popular from here.
